If you have decided to adopt you will want to consult with an attorney during the process.  Before you can adopt, there must be some form of termination of the parental rights of the parents.  If it is an amicable situation, the parents may agree to sign affidavits of voluntary relinquishments. 

Sometimes CPS may be involved in going to court to try to prove the parent’s rights should be terminated by the court.  You may find yourself in trying to get a court to terminate the parents rights of the parents.  We can help you through any of these processes.  And once the parental rights are terminated we can guide you through the adoption approval process through the court.
